"The Same But Different’ explores the contrast of cultural diversity and class in the North of England where Luke is from. This series is made up of collaged photographs from contemporary Britain".
“Often in small towns and always exploring the everyday, Saxon’s quiet photographs find beauty in the quotidian. Gently humorous, they are nonetheless warm and without condescension. Stylistically, there is something very British about Luke’s work which runs far beyond the fact that he makes most of it in his native Rochdale and other Northern towns.
Luke has a degree in photography from the University of Central Lancashire. His work has been shown widely, including at Touchstones Rochdale, The Whitworth in Manchester, The Fishing Quarter Gallery in Brighton, The Photographers’ Gallery in London and Manchester Contemporary”.
